Update your Android wallpaper automatically every day
Android has no built-in wallpaper automation, but the free MacroDroid app does it in five steps. It works on Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus and most other phones.
Step by step
How to set it up
Install MacroDroid from the Google Play Store.
Add Macro → Trigger: Date/Time → Day/Time → 00:01, every day of the week.
Action: Web Interactions → HTTP Request → GET your wallpaper link. Enable “Block next actions until complete” and “Save HTTP response to file” as /Download/infucial-wallpaper.png.
Action: Device Settings → Set Wallpaper → Image → Lock screen → /Download/infucial-wallpaper.png.
Name the macro and tap Create Macro. Test it from Macros → ⋮ → Test macro.
Make the lock-screen clock small so it doesn’t cover the wallpaper. Pixel: touch and hold the home screen → Wallpaper & style → Lock screen → Clock → Size: turn Large off. Galaxy: touch and hold the lock screen → Edit → tap the clock and make it smaller.

Why does the wallpaper not change?
Make sure both actions use exactly the same folder and file name, and that MacroDroid is allowed to run in the background (disable battery optimisation for it).
Can I set both home and lock screen?
Yes, choose “Both” in the Set Wallpaper action.
The big clock covers my calendar. What do I do?
Android 16 on Pixel shows a large clock in the middle of the lock screen by default. Turn it off in Wallpaper & style → Lock screen → Clock → Size (Large off). The clock moves to the top left, where the wallpaper leaves room for it.
